Your home should feel comfortable and feel like it fits your style.
However, if you feel like you want to update your home decor and try something new you might need to step outside your comfort zone!
Here are three bold ideas to try out.
Idea one: Paint your hallway a bright color
Neutrals are great, but sometimes a pop of color is what you need!
Elle Decor said, "If you tend to be more reserved when it comes to color choices, step outside of your comfort zone by choosing a bold hue, like purple, for a hallway."
Then, accent with some great art and a rug!.
Idea two: Go with a patterned floor
Whether it's with tile or paint, a patterned floor makes a statement.
You can even do this on your own! HGTV suggested, "Stencil or tape off a design. So it lasts, use porch or floor paint, followed by one or two coats of polyurethane."
This works especially well in kitchens and bathrooms. Just make sure the pattern you choose goes well with the rest of the room!
Idea three: Wallpaper your stairs
Wallpapering your stairs is definitely bold.
We don't mean the walls next to your stairs – we mean the actual stairs! Put a patterned wallpaper on the vertical spaces to create a really interesting and unique look!
As Better Homes & Gardens said, "It's hard to deny the lovability and appeal of wallpapered stairs when you style them just right."
Whether you go bold or stick in your comfort zone, we're here to help with any of your home maintenance needs.
