Over the last few months, we’ve been working closely with our community of customers and Experts to find out the best possible way to improve the booking process.
We want to ensure our customers get the highest quality Expert, for the best price, in the quickest time. In that same breath, we want our Experts to have the greatest opportunity for finding tasks and bolstering their income – promising even more work in the future.
Shocking revelations, we know. But translating this short paragraph into something that truly resonates with both customers and Experts has led to a lot of work and some pretty big changes to how the HeyBryan app works.
Let’s dive in.
What’s new for our customers
The first thing you’ll notice, and the largest change to the booking process, is that you no longer have to select an Expert. Our fantastic Customer Success team has scoured the land (well, Vancouver and Toronto so far…) for the finest and most qualified Experts to join HeyBryan. With that close relationship, we will contact a range of available Experts within your area to complete your task once requested. This way, your trusted Expert will accept tasks much faster than before.
Taking the pressure off picking the right Expert allows you the comfort of knowing that the person coming to your home is perfect for your task. As always, every Expert is vetted, checked and – most importantly – personally contacted and approved by our team. At HeyBryan we know how important your home safety and security is. As such, building that reassurance and trust is at our core.
How does it work?
Book your task in the same way as before: Select the category, and input the task details. Remember to add as much detail in your notes and photos as you can. The more information available to an Expert before a job, the less chance there may be of any unexpected ‘surprises’ when it comes to expenses and timelines.
Request your task, and that will notify a specially selected and curated list of our best available Experts in your local area.
Once an Expert accepts, you’re booked! Just the same as before. Now you can discuss the task at hand, make any changes to the details themselves and reschedule if necessary.

Hey Experts – the race is on!
Just like our customers, changes are coming your way too. You want more tasks to complete? You’ve got it. The new process has changed the way that tasks are requested, and as such, you’re more than likely to receive a greater number of requests than before.
The big difference here is that other local Experts will be notified too. To ensure that Experts get more requests, and customers find the best Experts faster, we’ve opened up the playing field. If you’ve accepted and completed tasks before, that’s great! You’ll be in a wonderful position to continue earning more and building your HeyBryan reputation.
But wait, what if I’m a new Expert?
Great question. While we always strive to provide the best service from our most accomplished Experts, the benefit new Experts bring to HeyBryan is invaluable. Once approved and on the system, you will be given just as much opportunity to hone your craft and build out earnings as the tasks come in.
Put simply, what does this all mean for our Experts?
- More jobs available
- Increased opportunity for greater income
- Faster turnaround of tasks
- More jobs you do, the better your chances of getting further work
How does it work?
As before, you will be notified as soon as a task request comes in. You can then review the task details and accept from there. The difference? Other Experts are alerted to the task request as well. So, if you’re interested in the task, accept quickly to avoid missing out.
Once accepted you can easily reschedule and edit the task details and of course chat with your customer.
Remember, you will only be requested if you’re within the local area and are available at the requested time. Please make sure your availability is always up to date to ensure you don’t miss out on any tasks.
